McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce, LLC (MRLP) currently has an excellent opportunity within its Duluth Office Real Estate and Commercial Transactions division for an Associate. MRLP has established itself as a National leader in representing banks, mortgage lenders and investor clients in commercial and residential real estate, contract, title disputes and real estate litigation throughout its 15 state footprint. This position includes but is not limited to handling commercial transactions for banks and small businesses, various areas of litigation, and other matters.  This position involves working closely with the managing partner of the department, reviewing incoming referrals and developing case strategy, drafting documents and conducting settlement negotiations. The position is a full-time, in-office position at the firm’s Duluth location.  This position provides exposure to a wide variety of interesting assignments.  Prior experience with contract law, Small Business Association transactions and/or real estate is a plus. 


  • Manage case load of transactional and litigation matters, assist managing partner and associate on various matters.
  • Draft letters, pleadings, appear in court.
  • Communicate with clients regularly for updates and case resolution.
  • Collaborate with managing partner on strategy and resolution options


  • J.D. degree, licensed and in good standing with Georgia Bar
  • 1-5 years general Litigation experience
  • Knowledge of Georgia Civil Procedure


  • Motivated self starter, ability to multi-task, detail-oriented, flexible and personable
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to change
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Ability to maintain positive attitude
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to interact and communicate well with clients, staff, peers and management
  • Knowledge of commercial and/or residential real estate a plus
  • Fluency in a second language a plus
