JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs all review and title curative functions in support of clearing titles for all states serviced. This person will perform tasks that require knowledge/skill to identify curative issues and resolve in a timely manner. You will communicate with clients, borrowers, internal staff, and outside agencies to resolve title clearance issues in a timely manner, consistent with company-defined standards. In office preferred but hybrid opportunities available based experience level.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and manage daily pipeline reports
- Take necessary steps to cure title clearance items per clearance guidelines
- Maintain open communication with team and managers
- Manage and support lender relationships
- Additional duties, as assigned
- Review internal and external case management systems for additional title information
- Communicate with outside law firms and agencies to resolve title issues
- Prepare affidavits and other curative documents for attorney review
- Manage a portfolio of curative files for processing and tracking
- Update both client and internal case management system, as required, thoroughly and accurately
- Interact and clearly communicate with clients, borrowers, internal staff, and outside agencies
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- A High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree or Bachelor‘s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with title clearance/curative related to foreclosure or REO properties
- Experience with BKFS
- Experience with government investors’ title curative requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of title, particularly evaluating chain of ownership, secured interests, and chain of assignments
- Understanding of various title issues and curative measures on title, i.e. tax liens, probate, missing interests, legal description defects, etc.
- Strong customer service focus
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated: ability to work with minimal supervision
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to multitask
- Proficiency with computers, and comfortable in a paperless environment
